360 Degree Branding Rocky Mountain College’s mission statement articulates all Montana’s oldest institution of higher learning encompasses. A place full of tradition continuing to look towards the future. A place of worldwide diversity located in a private, personal setting in the heart of the American West. RMC is a place where distinguished education and life long relationships unite. The goal of the brand standards was to unify tradition, education, diversity, and environment, grasping all that was, is, and will continue to be Rocky Mountain College.
When engaged by Rocky, A.D. Creative Group began an envisioning to carefully articulate the true essence of this historic university. Through the combination of type treatments, photographic styles, graphic elements and colors, A.D. was able to creatively organize a brand expression necessary to the forward movement of the recruitment market at RMC. The new positioning for RMC is a brand revitalization and places RMC in a position to compete and excel in the higher education market.
The Rocky Mountain College color palette defines each department with its own bright vibrant hue, bringing energy and life to each and allowing for instant category recognition. Inviting and complementary as a whole, the color palette serves as an imperative tool in distinguishing RMC’s many disciplines and programs. A.D. developed a photography language, which acts as an integral part in the connectivity of color and culture of each department. Headline treatments and phrases bring forth the over-arching thinking that Rocky is a place of limitless opportunities. Contrasting font families were utilized in the headlines and data treatments to bring forward the merging of tradition and the modern university. The new brand revitalization unites to capture the feel and essence of the school while inviting the target audience to say, “something’s going on at Rocky and I want to be a part of it”. A.D. Creative Group has been instrumental in directing Rocky’s new outreach; the true beneficiaries of this combined effort is the enrollment division. An increase of 35% over 2007.
